So, you've just launched into or are hunting around for an MLM business or another form of Network Marketing / Direct sales.

What do you do now?
You may have been told to go and make lists of everyone you know, hassle your family and friends or open the phone book and start cold calling. Frankly, that's the best way to annoy everyone you know and get depressed about the whole thing really quickly. Attraction Marketing is the name of the game these days.
Attraction Marketing? What's that?
Take a closer look at the name and it might give you a clue. Got it yet? It's all about "Attracting" people to you.
We were all lied to in the past. We were told that everyone is a prospect and that you need to approach anyone and everyone. This is a fantastic way to get demoralised very quickly as it simply isn't true.
What you need to do is find people that want to change their lives or are looking for a business to join. Even better you want these people to find you!
By using Attraction Marketing you put yourself out on the internet and make it possible for these people to find YOU.
Your aim is to put yourself out there and make yourself an expert on a topic of your choice. People will then find you and you will start the relationship by building trust and respect from them to you. They will then see you as someone who can help them gain the personal, financial, or time freedom they have been looking for.
That's when they approach YOU.
You are then placed in a position of control in the relationship.
If you get contacted by someone else you are always going to be in a position of more authority. This completely changes the way you have to work. You no longer have to fight the uphill struggle of convincing someone how good your company / product is. You are now interviewing people to see if they are good enough for you.
I'm sure you can see why this is such a powerful technique.
The way this all works is by you providing great content.
This can be the area in which a lot of people slip up. You need to make sure you are not just putting out glorified sales pitches. If you do this you will instantly be in the weaker position again. You must ensure that you are providing great content that is actually going to enrich the lives of those who see it.
Some of you are now thinking that there is nothing you are an expert at.
You're wrong.
Even if it is "colour variations of Ford's between 1960-85"; everyone is an expert at something. If you know more about something than most of your family and friends then this will be what you start with.
As you move along you will learn more and be able to provide better and more targeted content.
Now it's time for you to brainstorm ideas for content. Find a nice quiet place, take a blank page and pen and start writing.
